Recent storm activity has affected many Local Government Areas within NSW and ACT. This may be impacting on your service’s children, families, and communities.

The Big Situations resource includes links to free and practical resources to support educators to respond to situations such as this. When educators feel prepared to respond to big situations, they are more able to remain inclusive of all children and deliver a quality program. We encourage you to access our Natural Disasters or Critical Incidents pages, or please contact your Inclusion Professional if you would like support.

  • Seating
  • Description

The Kimba Neo has a unique postural positioning system that offers numerous adjustment possibilities, to ensure optimum support and corrective functions that adapt to changing conditions over time.

Easy adjustments allow the seat to be tilted backwards to provide relief or forward to allow more active participation in surroundings.

The unit is suitable for children aged 1 to 10 years who need more support.

    Inclusion Possibilities

    • Supports access and participation
    • Can be used for individual and/or group experiences

    Things to consider

    • Educators should consider how the chair will be used within the care environment to maximise children’s participation in the program and to facilitate peer interaction
    • Educators should consult with therapists and parents about appropriate timeframes when using the chair
    • Educators should consult the operating manual and therapists as needed
    • As this chair does not place the child on the floor, consider other seating options such as the Jenx Corner Chair, Leckey Advance Bath Chair or Special Tomato Sitter to ensure the child can have opportunities to engage with peers in floor activities
